Recently, it was learned from the 2014 China tire analysis seminar that the Saudi Energy Efficiency Program Technology Association is considering adopting a rolling resistance certification standard similar to the EU. The proposed Saudi rolling resistance standard is divided into two parts: rolling resistance and wet road grip.
The relevant person of Hangzhou Weiwo Standard Technology Co., Ltd. told the editor of tire world network that the certification standard will be implemented from 2015. Among them, the rolling resistance is based on GSO ISO 28580, and the test methods include force measurement method, torque method, deceleration method and power method, which can be selected by the experimenter at will; The wet road grip is based on GSO ISO 23671 and GSO ISO 15222. This assessment is carried out by testing the braking force of the tire on the wet road, and the wet road grip index is obtained by comparing it with the standard tire.
It is understood that after the rolling resistance standard is implemented in the EU tire labeling law, some other countries are also planning to implement or improve similar standards, such as South Korea, Brazil, Japan and the United States.
